"Natasha Bailey is a Canadian artist based in the UK and Canada. She holds an MFA from Slade School of Visual Arts in London. She has exhibited in a subsidiary exhibition at the 2011 Venice Biennial entitled Afternoon Tea with WW Gallery. She has also performed in the 2012 Nuit Blanche festival in Toronto Canada.
Bailey primarily works in performance but also explores large project based pieces with a performative element. Through her performances she strives to brake down the boundary between the performer and the audience, revealing the dynamics of relationships. At the core of her work, Bailey challenges her symptoms associated to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Although the subject of PTSD can be viewed as very serious, Bailey aims to explore her symptoms in a humorous and light-hearted way."
